Ansell Healthcare Re-Launches Improved Micro-Touch® Nitrile Exam Gloves

Article

Ansell Healthcare Products LLC announces it has re-engineered its Micro-Touch® Nitrile Exam Gloves to help reduce hand fatigue, increase dexterity and tactile sensitivity, and improve wet and dry grip performance.

The latex-free, powder-free exam gloves have been upgraded with an advanced stretch formulation to provide outstanding comfort and excellent puncture and tear resistance. These enhancements provide fit, comfort and performance not normally associated with a synthetic exam glove.

Micro-Touch® Nitrile gloves are made from 100 percent nitrile, addressing Type 1 (latex-sensitive) allergy issues – a growing concern for both patient and healthcare worker safety and protection.  They are also powder-free to protect workers’ skin from cornstarch-induced dryness and irritation, while also protecting patients from other complications related to glove powder.

The gloves meet or exceed American Society for Testing and Materials and FDA-QSR standards and comply with ASTM D6319, the standard specification for nitrile exam gloves. They are also FDA-approved for use with certain chemotherapy drugs.

Available in X-Small to X-Large sizes, Micro-Touch® Nitrile’s unique blue color makes it easily identifiable as a nitrile glove.
