The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) announces that its new Recommended Practices for Sharps Safety are now up for public comment. These recommended practices assist perioperative registered nurses in the identification of potential sharps hazards and the development and implementation of best practices to prevent sharps injuries and reduce bloodborne pathogen exposure to perioperative patients and personnel.
