The ASHES 2003 president-elect is Charles (Mike) Morley, program manager of environmental management services at Veterans Affairs (VA) headquarters in Washington, D.C. Morley will succeed Weston Thiss, CHESP, as president in 2004.

"Our prior and current leadership has set the course for success and I appreciate the opportunity to follow their footsteps in further developing our organization in the spirit of continual improvement," said Morley. "We owe that to our members and need to continue offering value in their ASHES membership."

New at-large members are Jim Henry, CHESP and Brett Higgins. Henry is the director of environmental service for Crothall Services Group in Coppell, Texas and Higgins is the director of environmental service for Genesis Medical Center in Davenport, Iowa.
