Astro Pak Launches New Biological Decontamination Service Company

Article

Astro Pak Corporation announces the launch of its new subsidiary, SixLog Corporation. SixLog provides onsite biological decontamination services utilizing proprietary iHP™ (ionized Hydrogen Peroxide) technology to a variety of industries, including healthcare. SixLog performs decontamination services for equipment, rooms, entire buildings and modes of transportation.

“SixLog’s iHP™ bio decontamination technology was developed and perfected for military applications (biological weapons), says Ken Verheyen, president of Astro Pak.  “We’re excited to bring this revolutionary technology into the commercial marketplace. iHP™ can be used in open air and, once ionized, acts like a gas as opposed to a vapor, providing excellent distribution properties, and destroying microorganisms even in those hard-to-reach areas. Thus, iHP™ is more effective, has excellent materials compatibility and requires a drastically shorter decontamination process time than alternatives.”

Steve Feinstein will serve as SixLog’s director of technology. Most recently, Feinstein served as regional sales manager for a British manufacturer of hydrogen peroxide vapor generators.Prior to that, he owned Medical Repair Laboratories, Inc. before selling the firm to a competitor where he served as their director of sales, marketing and business development.
