MUNDELEIN, Ill. -- Medline Industries Inc., the nation's largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies, announces today that Cynthia Fleck, MBA, BSN, RN, ET/WOCN, CWS, DNC, DAPWCA, FCCWS, vice president of clinical marketing for Medline's Advanced Wound Care Sales Division has been named president-elect of the AmericanAcademy of Wound Management (AAWM).

Fleck will serve for one year in this position for the AAWM before assuming the role of president of the organization. Prior to her election, Fleck, served two terms as secretary-treasurer and is a member of the board of directors of the AAWM. She is also a board member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC), a diplomat of the American Professional Wound Care Association where she serves on the Medical Advisory Board, and a fellow of the College of Certified Wound Specialists.
In addition to her roles at AAWM and Medline, Fleck is a board-certified wound specialist and dermatology advanced practice nurse who has presented seminars and programs throughout the world. She is a sought-after presenter, writer and consultant, and has written more than 100 articles and chapters for various peer reviewed and clinical publications and texts.Â
