Supplier of Exam Gloves Decided
RED BANK, NJ-The US Department of Defense (DOD) awarded Ansell Healthcare Products, Inc., the US-based subsidiary of Australia's Pacific Dunlop Limited, the contract to supply medical examination gloves to military institutions. Valued at approximately $3 million, the contract takes effect June 1, 2000 and is Ansell's largest US government contract in over 10 years. Chief Executive Officer of Ansell Healthcare, Harry Boon, said, "This contract is another example of the excellent work done by our Professional Healthcare team in extending Ansell's market share in North America. The contract award comes against a background of intense competition, and we have already begun the conversion process and selection of distributors to service this business."
