Health Tips for Safer Holidays

Article

(MENTOR, OHIO) Health experts reveal that people have a greater risk of getting sick around holidays because they attend events in public places where large crowds congregate. This increases the risk of exposure to germs that can be transmitted through direct and indirect contact. Other risks come from mishandled food at public venues, cookouts and picnics, as well as failing to wash hands after contact with animals.

STERIS Corporation as been helping to prevent the spread of infection and illness caused by bacteria by providing a number of products such as an instant hand sanitizer, a skin cleanser, and lotion to organizers of public events and hospitals throughout the country. STERIS also recently added information to its website to educate the public about infection prevention. For more information visit www.steris.com.
