MELVILLE, NY - Officials from the Healthcare Solutions Division of Keane, Inc and Arc Stream Solutions, have announced a partnership to provide wireless solutions to the healthcare industry.
Keane, a business and information technology consulting firm, and AcrStream Solutions, a wireless systems integration firm, will incorporate wireless technology with clinical and financial software products. The wireless solutions will reportedly give healthcare workers real-time access to patient and financial data on handheld devices that are compatible with major mobile platforms, such as Palm OS and Pocket PC.
A recent Harvard Medical School affiliate study found more than 80 percent of healthcare respondents reported handheld applications improved their practice's efficiency. Access to patient data at the point of care was improved and medical errors were reduced.
"With mobile technology gaining significant traction, Keane believes it is now appropriate to provide our clients with mobile solutions that provide timely and convenient access to information," says Alan Gottlieb, vice president of Keane's healthcare division.
