WALTHAM, Mass. - Maxxim Medical, Inc., has been selected as a national vendor for Premier, Inc.
Officials at Maxxim say the contract, estimated at more than $40 million in annual sales, will become effective November 1. The 18-month contract will allow Maxxim to sell Premier's surgical gloves.
"We are delighted that Premier has chosen Maxxim Medical to be one of the two national vendors for their surgical glove business," says Jeff Urbany, Maxxim medical group vice president. "This award represents the largest surgical glove contract for Maxxim Medical to date, and we believe this is a tremendous opportunity for us to offer our expansive surgical glove line to a larger audience."
Maxxim Medical was the first company to manufacture polyisoprene surgical gloves.
