PREZIO Health announces that Ben DePauw is the first student to complete PREZIO Health Universitys Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) training program, in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs and St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla.
PREZIO Universitys CRCST program is a six-week training program built to provide PREZIO Health technicians with a didactic curriculum, as well as clinical placement, all working toward taking the IAHHCSMM certification exam and attaining the title of Certified Registered Central Service Technician.
In partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, PREZIO Health is recruiting qualified veterans to the program to provide employment and training.
DePauw, the first student enrolled in PREZIO University, spent the first two weeks of the six-week CRSCT training program studying under Wayne McPeek, director of clinical education, at the PREZIO facility in Troy, Mich. The remaining four weeks consisted of 400 hours of clinical, hands-on training conducted at St. John Medical Center under the direction of Patty Hildebrand, CRCST, CST, PREZIO Health associate service manager.
St John Medical Center, in partnership with PREZIO Health, serves as the first clinical placement facility for PREZIO Health University students.
St. John Medical Center is pleased to partner with PREZIO Health in an initiative that helps to facilitate job opportunities for our military veterans, says Robert Langland, St. John Health System Vice President of Financial services. We recognize that, through their varied military experiences, veterans are able to quickly learn a variety of concepts and skills, while bringing a special level of leadership, commitment and work ethic to their jobs.
