Watch a Live Ebola PPE Training Event Today, Nov. 7

Today, Nov. 7, 2014, thousands of healthcare workers will participate in a large Ebola safety education session in Los Angeles. The CDC protocols for outpatient settings will be demonstrated for the first time, with more than 500 attendees on-site and 2,000 separate groups joining by webcast.

The session will include:
- live demonstration of nurse putting on and taking off personal protective equipment (PPE) for triage in outpatient settings
- an explanation of new statewide protocols and up-to-the-minute CDC guidelines for handling Ebola patients
- interviews with healthcare workers, hospital management, and clinicians

CDC’s Arjun Srinivasan, MD, associate director for healthcare-associated infection prevention programs will join the event. The session is co-hosted by the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions; Kaiser Permanente; and the Partnership for Quality Care, a national coalition of healthcare providers and workers.
