Jill E. Holdsworth, MS, CIC, FAPIC, NREMT, CRCST, is the manager of infection prevention at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her bachelor of science degree in biology from West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon and her master of science degree in exercise science from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She is the Protective Barriers Committee cochair for the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation and the 2022 Certification Council Chairman at the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology. Holdsworth is also a certified emergency medical technician (EMT) and a volunteer EMT with the Emory Emergency Medical Service program in Atlanta.
