Case Medical Announces Case Solutions Cleaning Wipes

Article

Case Medical announces its newest Case Solutions innovation, single-use wipes recommended for use in healthcare facilities for surface cleaning and decontamination of surgical devices, including endoscopes and sterilization containers.

Case Solutions Wipes serve the need for an easy to use and effective option for manual cleaning of medical devices. This is a substantial improvement over the practice of using sponges to wipe down endoscopes or environmental cleaners or germicides in lieu of proper cleaning and rinsing.

Endo Wipes are impregnated with a ready to use solution of PentaZyme, the companys five plus enzyme, pH neutral cleaner. According to the EPA, PentaZyme has fully achieved the objective as an effective, environmentally preferred product. Endo Wipes are well-suited for all materials, including metals such as anodized aluminum and stainless steel, as well as plastic, silicone, glass and rubber.  After application, the company strongly recommends a thorough rinse and adequate drying before further disinfection or sterilization.

Case Solutions Alcohol Wipes, designed to follow the cleaning step, are ideal for surface decontamination and further drying. The non-woven material is pre-moistened with a highly concentrated solution of ethanol, isopropyl alcohol and high purity water. According to the CDC, Alcohols are rapidly bactericidal against vegetative forms of bacteria. They are also tuberculocidal, fungicidal and virucidal, but do not destroy bacterial spores. Therefore, all medical devices must be thoroughly decontaminated, rinsed after cleaning with high purity water and dried thoroughly before further disinfection or sterilization.

Case Medicals full line of medical equipment includes the SteriTite universal sealed container system and MediTray products for organization and protection of costly surgical devices and specialty instrument sets. The companys Case Solutions include SuperNova instrument cleaners, the world's most concentrated liquid cleaning system with dose control. Case Medical offers innovative, validated and cost effective products for sterilization, storage, decontamination, and customizable solutions.

Case Medical has been recognized by the EPA for developing environmentally oriented medical instrument cleaners to protect the environment and safeguard human health.
