PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- The LYSOL(R) Brand Team of Reckitt Benckiser Inc. has made a significant donation of LYSOL(R) Brand disinfectants to the U.S. based blood collection centers of the American Red Cross. This donation will support the organization's infection control procedures, while helping to keep donors and staff healthy.
"With all the assistance provided by this wonderful organization and in light of the huge efforts made this past year by Red Cross staff and volunteers to help all in need, this was the least Lysol could do to assist," said Tom Bach, Lysol professional relations manager. "We are committed to helping families and our partners stay healthy. When asked if we would consider such a donation, we were proud to provide one of the most trusted names in germ protection."
"Generous product donations such as those provided by the LYSOL Brand Team of Reckitt Benckiser Inc. are helping the American Red Cross keep our donors and staff healthy, which is important since the Red Cross serves as a bridge between over 4 million generous blood donors and millions of patients in need each year," said Jack McGuire, executive vice president of biomedical services for the American Red Cross. "We are grateful for the LYSOL Brand Team's support of our mission to ensure that the nation has an adequate supply of the safest blood possible."
