3M introduces 3M Stainless Steel Cleaner and Protector, a first-of-its-kind, water-based, oil free cleaner specially formulated to clean pesky fingerprints, smudges and even stains quickly, effectively and easily. It’s estimated to save up to 80 percent of the time it takes to clean with leading stainless steel cleaners.
3M Stainless Steel Cleaner and Protector, designed to simplify and speed cleaning tasks, is the industry’s first water-based and oil free stainless steel cleaner with Scotchgard Protection. A protective layer builds up with repeated use, making it easier to clean stainless steel surfaces of oil, dirt, permanent marker and even fingerprints. Much like 3M™ Glass Cleaner and Protector, Scotchgard technology allows for less frequent cleaning and easier spot cleaning without leaving an oily residue or streaks.
“While oil-based cleaners can help refresh the shine and luster of stainless, it only lasts until the next fingerprint appears,” says Tom Neu, marketing manager at 3M. “3M Stainless Steel Cleaner and Protector reduces the constant battle with fingerprints and grime by creating a layer of Scotchgard Protection that keeps surfaces looking cleaner longer and makes them easier to clean.”
Designed for daily maintenance in facilities such as hospitals, schools, office and retail spaces, Scotchgard Stainless Steel Cleaner and Protector can be used for both large and small surfaces, including elevator doors, railings and escalators and architectural surfaces. It is three times more effective at removing permanent marker and five times more effective at removing bleach stains.
Currently available in a convenient, quart (32-ounce) size, the 3M Scotchgard Stainless Steel Cleaner and Protector is an oil free, environmentally-friendly product. It is NSF A7 certified for nonfood contact services. This stainless steel cleaner and protector also received the highest rating from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for flammability, as well as the Hazardous Materials Identification System (HMIS) for instability, physical hazard and health.
