ICT presents the first in a series of slide shows examining the basics of automated technologies that provide an adjunct solution to manual processes for the control, elimination and prevention of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). This first slide show addresses antimicrobial nanotechnology and self-cleaning surfaces. Future slide shows in the series will address other HAI prevention technology including: automated hand hygiene monitoring systems; automated room disinfection systems, and automated instrument and asset tracking systems.
