St. Vincent Healthcare is raising the bar when it comes to patient care. Already following strict disinfection routines, St. Vincent Healthcare is now also using germ-killing robot Tru-D SmartUVC to eliminate harmful germs, like Ebola, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE), influenza and norovirus that can infect patients during their hospital stay.

Tru-D uses safe, EPA and U.S. Department of Energy-endorsed energy efficient, long-life, trace mercury vapor content, compact fluorescent bulbs. There are hundreds of Tru-D's protecting health care environments across the globe. With an estimated 1.7 million hospital-acquired infections occurring each year, St. Vincent Healthcare is taking extra steps to ensure patients don't leave with a potentially deadly infection.

Tru-D has been proven to eliminate 99.9 percent of pathogens, and its Sensor360 analytical technology has led to the device setting the standard for disinfection cycle times in comparison to other UV disinfection devices without this capability.
