GLENN DALE, Md. -- TVI Corporation, a global supplier of rapidly deployable first receiver and first responder systems for homeland security, hospitals, the military, police and fire departments, and public health agencies, today announced that it has received an order exceeding $600,000 from the state of Florida for Bio-Isolation Shelter Systems, Decontamination Systems, Command/Logistic Shelters and accessories. This order was placed through one of TVI's largest distributors and further extends the company's relationship with the state of Florida, which has utilized TVI products since 2001.

"This order demonstrates the continued market interest in our decontamination and infection control systems," said TVI Corporation CEO Richard V. Priddy. "With hurricane season rapidly approaching, the state of Florida is ensuring that its first responders and first receivers are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and the highest quality equipment. We are pleased to see the state taking proactive steps and investing in its emergency preparedness. Through this order, Florida is significantly better prepared for not only hurricane season, but other potential natural disasters, bio-terrorism scenarios or pandemic events."

TVI's Command/Logistics Shelters employ the company's patented articulating frame technology designed for rapid deployment and to protect under the most severe conditions. The multi-use shelters provide enclosures for command/logistics, as well as triage, patient care, and rehabilitation. TVI's Mass Casualty Decontamination and Bio-Isolation Shelter systems provide protection from toxic chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) materials.
